OLSOM – is a small Ukrainian IT pearl, not very well known in Ukraine, but a "mission-critical" manufacturing software vendor and solution provider for Tesla, Boeing, Hanon, Ford, Daimler, Hyundai, and many more cool companies. It’s hard to detect tech goods around us manufactured without the participation of OLSOM in the production process. And when it came to brand building, nobody could do it better than us.

the challenge

Intro

OLSOM is a technocratic product IT company, operated by 35 geeks in a good way and industrial revolution 4.0 enthusiasts.

While producing cutting-edge software worldwide, the OLSOM team was brooding about their own identity, branding, and keeping themselves visually up-to-date. That was the moment Okay Monday team entered the game.

Ukrainian IT companies fight for high skilled professionals. In this HR race, the main instrument on the market is to offer thousands of dollars as a welcome bonus to specialists. Such an approach led to an oversaturated IT market where engineers just started to switch between offers searching for higher incomes. 

OLSOM decided to unite professional and talented engineers who would receive a high salary, share the same culture, and be eager to manufacture innovative goods. We at Okay Monday Agency just needed to help OLSOM create a great brand that would unite and hold employees on board and show the potential clients great opportunities that the company provides.

First of all, we interviewed every member of OLSOM team, from founder and CEO to newcomers working a few weeks. We needed to understand each of them, their dreams, motivation, working methods, and personal career story.

Our team was extremely pleased to know these lads better and find common patterns for building a people-oriented brand. We fell in love with these people so much that we set a personal goal – to make them feel proud of themselves.

As a result – the personal hero-like page of every OLSOM teammate on the new website, modern website itself, brand-new internal success system, and dozens of cool stuff to let them love what they do even more. 
The challenge was making the company as cool for future generations of IT engineers as possible to leave recruiting efforts in the past but create hype and a pool of candidates who dare to move in another league. 
It is necessary to say a few words about the league itself.
A manufacturing IT engineer who creates critical stuff worldwide is as cool as it may sound. So we created an "elite club" HR approach with quizzes, creative tasks, and personality tests to make sure candidates fit in a Champions League. Cause, as a matter of fact, OLSOM guys are tough.
Talking about the external brand, we first tried to find best practices in worldwide engineering giants. But imagine our surprise to find out that they are boring, outdated, with tons of "marketing bullshit" regarding their communication channels back in the early 00’s. 

After that, we clearly understood what we DON'T want to use while developing brand and communication. Thought, after deep analysis of every engineering and IT company, we formulated a "stop-list" of words, meanings, and narratives we never use in OLSOM. OLSOM makes excellent stuff all around the World, so it should look and sound accordingly.

the Result

Result
Brand-new internal and external brand strategy flavored with a visual identity which represents flexible, durable and trustworthy approach and way of working of OLSOM, used in a new "hall of fame" website made us cry in shirts of each other. Just kidding – tears were caused with a 300+ pages presentation of the strategy. 

Jokes aside, two months of close cooperation made OLSOM guys see true reasons to be proud of themselves by making every aspect of their awesomeness visible. And there is no chance for the World to stay blind to it.
